Solzhenitsyn was right — repentance and self-limitation

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, some years ago, before his Harvard graduation speech in the summer of 1978, published a short piece in which he described what the people under the occupation of the Soviet Union should do.  He said it was time for repentance and self-limitation.  His essay, Repentance and Self-limitation in the Life of Nations can be found in  From Under the Rubble  (1975).  It may also be found in Google Books.  Read some excerpts from the essay at this link.
